GTA 6 Ultimate edition: what's included and is it worth it?
$20 more than the standard version: what does the GTA 6 Ultimate edition really add? We went through the official contents.
The price
The Ultimate edition costs $99.99 in the US and €99.99 in France, versus $79.99 and €79.99 for the standard edition. Like the standard, it can be cheaper at some retailers.
What's included
Rockstar describes it as an exclusive collection of premium vehicles, weapons and outfits. It includes several vehicles (cars, a motorcycle, a boat, a buggy), custom revolvers and handguns, outfits and tattoos for Jason and Lucia, and extra hair and makeup options.
It also unlocks access to certain locations: a tattoo parlor, a tuning shop, a gang hideout with its warehouse, and classic cars to restore through a special order.
What's not included
No early access: launch is November 19 for everyone, standard or Ultimate. The content is mostly cosmetic and convenience, it doesn't change the story.
Our verdict
If you plan to spend dozens of hours in the game, the bonus vehicles and locations make the early game nicer. If you just want the story, the standard edition is plenty, especially on sale.
