Where things stand
Before launch, Rockstar hasn't confirmed a single cheat code for GTA 6. Lists going around online are either recycled GTA 5 codes or pure invention.
We'll test codes controller in hand from November 19 and add them here as we go.
How cheats worked in GTA 5
In GTA 5, you triggered a cheat by entering a button combination during gameplay, or by dialing a number on your character's phone. The effect was instant.
Cheats only worked in Story Mode, not online. There's no guarantee GTA 6 will use the exact same system.
Watch out for scams
Be wary of sites offering downloadable GTA 6 "cheats", "trainers" or "mod menus": before launch they can't work, and they often contain malware.
Real cheat codes are entered directly in the game. They never require a download.
Before you cheat
In most GTA games, using a cheat disables trophies and achievements for that session. Keep a clean save before turning one on.
